Apple uses a T2 chip to PREVENT booting on an external drive. This puts Apple users in OS PRISON. My old MacBook Pro will run and install Ubuntu just fine. My newer iMac 27 will NOT.

Buy a fast (gaming) PC with Ubuntu (and working WiFi) already installed and two 20 inch monitors to put yourself in computer Heaven.

What Is Missing From Ubuntu

For more than a year I have been informing Canonical (makers of the Ubuntu and Zorin operating systems) that two things are needed.

• 1. A replacement for the (free) Adobe Reader that provides selecting printer paper bins according to the size of each page of a PDF.
  
  Adobe will NOT make a Linux version of their Reader. They only “like” windows and mac.
  
  Canonical says they have a replacement app. I sent them a big-small-big-small.pdf file and asked them to make a quick video proving it works. They declined. This proves they DO NOT have a PDF Printing app that selects the correct paper bin according to the size of each page of a PDF document.
• 2. An Ubuntu installer app for Mac. Apple does not want users to “escape” from Apple Jail so they install the dreaded T2 chip that PROHIBITS booting from an external drive. The tried-and-true BelenaEtcher Ubuntu boot disk method DOES NOT WORK FOR T2 MACS. We need an Ubuntu INSTALLER.
  
  So far, Canonical has not provided either!
  Professional users can, therefore, NOT USE UBUNTU.

When Canonical wakes up, we can get on with adopting a bulletproof Linex OS like Ubuntu.
